Revolutionary Fuse 1 3D Printer

Revolutionary Fuse 1 3D Printer
Jun-09-17
The laser sintering Fuse 1 3D printer from Formlabs could change the future of 3D printing.

While most commercial 3D printers rely on filament deposition modeling (FDM), the Fuse 1 printer aims to bring the laser sintering printing process to the masses. The sintering process, which is superior to FDM, involves exposing a bed of fine powder to a laser, fusing the particles together to form a thin layer. The process is repeated with fresh layers of powder until the structure is complete, resulting in a final product almost as good as one made by traditional manufacturing methods.
