An origami-inspired robotic arm makes drones easier to transport while also offering a better grip.

Developed by a team from Seoul National University, the robotic arm consists of a single wire connecting seven actuators that can extend from a folding position to a total of 25.7 inches in length. The arm can reach inside tight spaces, holding a gripper or a camera, and then be packed away for during transport or flight.
