SafeHalo Stops Distracted Driving

Oct-10-19 The SafeHalo system from 4D-Driving Technologies reduces accidents by preventing drivers from texting or calling on their smartphones.

The SafeHalo system is made up of the telemetry hub module attached to the car’s OBD-II diagnostic port and a small beacon located in the passenger side of the vehicle. When the driver starts the car and puts it in gear, the beacon system will locate their mobile phone to create a “SafeHalo” that blocks all texts and calls. Other passengers, however, can still use their phones as long as they are not in the driver’s seat.
