Samsung Reveals Smart Bike Concept

Jun-17-14 Samsung has taken their smartphone technology on the road with their new Smart Bike concept, which even features a rear view camera.

The Smart Bike's tech is centered around a smartphone that attaches to the handlebars with a magnetic mount. The phone controls the bike's components, which include a WiFi/Bluetooth/Arduino module and four laser projectors that delineate a bike lane, and also displays the real-time video stream from the camera mounted on the rear of bike.

The bike's frame was designed by the well-respected bike frame builder Giovanni Pelizzoli, who created a curved frame tube that will neutralize the vibrations caused by riding on rough roads—resulting in a smoother and safer ride.
