Samsung Smart Shirt Listens for Respiratory Disorders

Samsung Smart Shirt Listens for Respiratory Disorders
Feb-11-19
A new smart shirt from Samsung detects the early signs of respiratory problems and lung disease.

Recently receiving patent approval, the Samsung shirt is equipped with embedded sensors able to listen to the wearer’s breathing and detect the signs of respiratory problems. For example, a wheeze sound between the right eleventh and twelfth ribs would indicate a ‘high probability of asthma.’ Information about the wearer, such as age and weight, are taken into account, and the smart shirt will transmit its data to a paired smartphone for review.
