Saranas Early Bird Detects Internal Bleeding

Saranas Early Bird Detects Internal Bleeding
Mar-09-19
The Early Bird bleed monitoring system detects internal bleeding, making vascular surgeries safer.

One risk of minimally invasive vascular surgeries is that the bleeding from a damaged vessel may not be detected until the situation is critical. To reduce this risk, the Early Bird bleed monitoring system from Saranas features a vascular access sheath embedded with bioimpedance sensors able to detect a change in the electrical resistance of the blood vessel, which indicates bleeding. Recently approved by the FDA, this unique monitoring and warning system is the first of its kind, and showed 100% accuracy in animal tests.
