Self-Fluffing Fabric Adjusts to Temperature

Self-Fluffing Fabric Adjusts to Temperature
Mar-25-17
The thermally adaptive fabric from Otherlab will fluff automatically in response to temperature changes.

The “self-poofing” fabric is made up of common synthetic fibers that will expand or contract based on the temperature they are exposed to. The material can adjust from flat, which insulates as well as a t-shirt, to maximum expansion in about a minute, with the “maximum poof” offering three times the insulation as the non-poofed, comparable to a heavy coat.
