Researchers have created a magnetic ink that could be used to print self-healing electronics.
Developed by a team from the University of California, San Diego, the ink is embedded with magnetically oriented neodymium particles. If the material tears, the particles will be magnetically attracted to each other, healing rips as wide as 3 millimeters. According to the team, the self-healing ink could have applications ranging from batteries to electronic wearables.
