A gentle and effective hair growth stimulating device that fits neatly under a baseball cap is also powered by the motions of the body.
The prototype was created by a team from UW Madison, who were looking to create a low-profile hair regrowth device as an alternative to the bulky and power-hungry options. The system relies on the established method of using electrotrichogenesis (ETG) to enhance hair growth via mild electrical stimulation, and is powered by the body’s own movements. According to the team, the gentle and low-energy device is easy to use, and could eventually be commercialized as a preventative step during the early stages of hair loss.
