The SensiVest from Sensible Medical looks into the lungs to help monitor fluid buildup after heart failure.
The majority of heart failure patients find themselves back in the hospital after six months due to fluid buildup in the lungs. Designed to help prevent these readmissions, the SensiVest can be used at home by the patient in 90-minute sessions. Radar waves emitted from the front of the vest move through the chest and to a receptor on the back, where they are analyzed to determine if any fluid is collecting in the lungs. The results are then uploaded from a paired device to the cloud, where they can be reviewed by the patient’s doctor.
