Senslar Smart Solar Floating Platform

Senslar Smart Solar Floating Platform
Sep-11-18
The innovative Senslar Smart Sensitive Solar Floating Platform floats on the water to orient itself according to the position of the sun.

The Senslar platform system is made up of a set of modular platforms that can be expanded as needed, a Brain that houses the electrical components, an anchoring pole, and a stepper motor that controls the solar panels’ tilt. The panels can tilt at a 45-degree angle for both sides, while the platforms supporting the panels can rotate 360 degrees in either direction, allowing the Senslar to provide a 40% improvement in energy harvesting while also taking advantage of water in land-scarce areas.

The Senslar design, which won a James Dyson Award, is the first floating solar PV system with modular components and three degrees of freedom motion.
