Shift System Follows the Subject While You Fly the Drone
Mar-01-15
The Shift system from Perceptiv Labs improves drone camera control by keeping the subject in the frame so the user can focus on flying the drone.

Developed for use with the motorized cameras on quadcopters from DJI and 3D Robotics, the Shift system includes a processor that controls the drone's autopilot and the "Shift Eye" that attaches next to the camera lens. The Eye transmits the camera's view to the user's Android device, where the user can then select the subject—or subjects—to be tracked. Once the selection has been made, the Shift software will pan and tilt the camera automatically to keep the selection in the frame, letting the user focus on flying the drone.
