Smart Ember Mug Keeps Coffee at Your Favorite Temperature

Oct-25-15 The smartphone-controlled Ember mug not only helps keep the user’s coffee warm, it also brings it down quickly to the preferred drinking temperature.

The Ember is equipped with a patented phase-change material able to keep the beverage at the chosen temperature for up to two hours. Besides simply holding a beverage at the preferred temperature, however, the Ember system also allows the user to choose different temperature settings via a companion smartphone app or dial at the base of the mug.

And to help relieve the pressure of waiting for the coffee to cool down, the Ember’s unique phase-change system can also quickly bring a drink to the specified temperature and alert the user when the temperature is reached.
