Smart Helmet Keeps Cyclists in Touch

Smart Helmet Keeps Cyclists in Touch
Sep-21-16
The Bluetooth-enabled Smart Helmet from Sena lets riders communicate with one another on the road.

The Smart Helmet communicates with a paired smartphone via Bluetooth, and can play music as well as read stats or navigation information through its external speakers—eliminating the need for ear buds. A microphone is built in, so the wearer can take calls, and the helmet includes an intercom system that lets the user communicate with other Smart Helmet wearers nearby. The Smart Helmet also boasts a video camera with onboard storage, and the option for handlebar-mounted controls.

The most important part of a helmet is to protect the head, communications is a secondary thing. This helmet like all other cycle helmets does not protect the temples and could be ripped off due to the large lip or rim.
Design cycle helmet that covers the temples and can not be ripped off as you slide along the deck, much like a motorcycle helmet, then we have lift off.
