Smart Lens Records What You See

Smart Lens Records What You See
May-04-16
Sony has filed a patent for a smart contact lens able to record what the wearer sees and store it for later viewing.

The self-powered lens would be controlled by blinking—sensors in the lens would be able to differentiate between intentional and involuntary blinks—while piezoelectric sensors harness the movements of the eye to power the systems. The recording and storage components would be installed around the iris section of the lens, and dark frames caused by blinking could even be deleted automatically for a better viewing experience.
