Smartcardia Patch Eases ER Data Collection

Smartcardia Patch Eases ER Data Collection
Mar-15-18
The Smartcardia wireless patch streamlines emergency room procedures by monitoring the patient wirelessly.

Developed by the EPFL spin-off startup of the same name, the Smartcardia attaches to the patient’s chest, where it will monitor their vitals and send the information in real-time to a paired device—such as a smartphone. The tidy little device eliminates the need for the cumbersome cables and connected data collection devices, allowing the patient to move comfortably and even be monitored remotely.
