SMARTROD Computerized Fishing Rod

SMARTROD Computerized Fishing Rod
Jan-02-13
The POLETAP SMARTROD computerized fishing rod never misses a bite, signaling the angler when a fish has taken the bait.

Currently seeking funding on Indiegogo, the SMARTROD features an accelerometer able to detect the motion of a fish taking the lure, flashing its LED lights and sounding and optional audible alert. The three different sensitivity settings allow the rod to be used in different situations, such as trolling or in heavy currents, and the alert will automatically turn off when the user begins to reel the fish in.

The SMARTROD is aimed primarily at anglers who fish using several rods at once, and the alarm will not go off when the rod is being carried from place to place.
