Soft Exoskelton Speeds Stroke Recovery

Soft Exoskelton Speeds Stroke Recovery
Aug-02-17
A soft robotic exoskeleton could help get stroke patients back on their feet.

Developed by a team from Harvard University, the exosuit was created for stroke patients that retain some ability to move. The suit fits around the patient’s lower limbs, where a waist belt connects via cables to a shoe insole. As the patient walks, actuators in the exosuit will provide a small amount of assistance to help re-train the body.
