Soft Millirobot Delivers Drugs in the Body

Soft Millirobot Delivers Drugs in the Body
Feb-03-18
A tiny soft robot able to walk, jump and roll could one day be ferrying medication through our bodies.

Developed by a team at the Max Planck Institute, the flexible millirobot is equipped with a magnetic drive that allows it to move in a variety of ways to navigate complex environments. Controlled by an external magnetic field, the tiny bot can travel on solid material as well as liquids, delivering its cargo to a precise location.
