Solar Glitter Rollable Solar Panels

Feb-19-17 The rollable solar panels from mPower Technology harness the sun’s energy with solar glitter.

The panels take advantage of the MEPV (microsystems enabled photovoltaics) technology, which produces tiny solar cells in an ink-like liquid that can then be applied to various substrates. The panels, called Dragon SCALES or solar glitter, can be bent without shattering and are extremely efficient, making them attractive for use on satellites or drones.

The team believes the DragonSCALES could also make solar panel installation simpler and more affordable than with standard solar cells.
