Specalized ANGi Helmet Calls for Help if You Crash

Specalized ANGi Helmet Calls for Help if You Crash
Dec-07-18
The ANGi helmet line from Specialized will detect a crash and call for help.

The waterproof ANGi unit (Angular and G-Force indicator) attaches to the back of the 2019 line of Specialized helmets (it’s also built into some models), where its onboard accelerometer and gyroscope detect the forces involved in a fall. If a fall is detected, the ANGi system will trigger a paired smartphone to send a text alert with GPS coordinates to chosen emergency contacts. The ANGi app also allows chosen people to track the rider in real time, and it can be set to send an alert if the rider does not return from a ride within an expected time (a useful feature when riding outside of cell service).
