The buttons on the face of the RHYTHM are used only to access and control the music on a separate, wirelessly connected device. The rest of the RHYTHM’s features are automatic—measuring the pulse with two LEDs and a photo sensor and calculating speed, pace, distance, route and calories burned with the on-board accelerometer and paired 3G device. The information is sent via Bluetooth and stored in the cloud, where it can be analyzed by a free app or shared with friends and competitors.
