SunnyBot Sends the Sun Where You Want It

SunnyBot Sends the Sun Where You Want It
Jun-24-13
The SunnyBot robot will brighten the dark areas of your home by automatically tracking the sun and directing it to a desired target.

Currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, the small, portable robot features a mirror that will constantly adjust to reflect the sun’s rays to a chosen location. The rays can be used to heat an area, send sunlight to neglected plants or simply brighten a dimly lit room. An array of solar cells power the dual-axis microcomputer and it is able to redirect the equivalent of a 500 watt halogen light at a range of over 656 feet.

The SunnyBot is the product of the Italian startup Solenica.

I feel "Skylights" are more useful than this, and they already exist in the market.

Skylights are only good for people who live at the top of a building and the light that enters goes downwards hitting the floor rather than the ceiling, which is what happens with this bot.

I would like to add one of these to focus my solar panels, that would mean only one section of one panel in the bank would get the benefit.
(a) would it harm the system.
(b) would it benefit my input in any way.
