Designed for travel through snowy, mountainous regions, the Survival Crutch brings hiking poles into the future with an array of built-in survival devices.
The Survival Crutch, which received a Red Dot Design Award honorable mention, is powered by the electricity produced through kinetic energy and electrolyzed hydrogen. It is equipped with a light and SOS/GPS functions, but its standout feature is its ability to electrolyze the snow to produce oxygen (a survival necessity at high altitudes), which the climber is able to inhale through a mask attached to the grip.
