Swift Skin and Wound App Helps Monitor Chronic Wounds

Swift Skin and Wound App Helps Monitor Chronic Wounds
Dec-22-18
The Swift Skin and Wound app offers a better way to track and treat diabetic skin ulcers.

Keeping track of wound dimensions is an important part of wound care, and even more critical for diabetic patients. To offer an improvement over simply measuring with a ruler, the team from McGill University created the Swift Skin and Wound app, which works with a smartphone’s camera to image the size of the wound and note changes. The app not only offers more precise measurements than a ruler, it can also track changes over time and allow physicians to access the data over the internet.
