Temporary Tattoos Could Make Telekinesis Possible

Temporary Tattoos Could Make Telekinesis Possible
Feb-22-13
Temporary electronic tattoos able to read brain wave activity could soon allow people to control machines with their minds.

The flexible, wireless electronic tattoos are designed to be applied to forehead as simply as a conventional temporary tattoo, where they monitor brain wave activity. With less thickness than the diameter of a human hair, the devices are barely visible when placed on the skin, so are easy to conceal from others. In tests, the team found that they were able to detect brain wave signals that reflected mental states, and one application the team is currently pursuing is using the tattoos to monitor the onset of seizures in premature babies.

Looking further into the future, the team hopes the tattoos could be used to behave as subvocal microphones and eventually allow people to control machines with their brain waves, a feat that has already been accomplished using electrode-studded caps.
