An innovative T-shirt able to generate electricity from body heat is also made using eco-friendly materials.
The prototype shirt was developed by a team from the University of Malaga with an eye toward creating comfortable wearables using affordable, sustainable methods. To that end, team created a liquid solution made up of tomato skins mixed with carbon nanoparticles. The mixture can be sprayed onto a cotton shirt, where it will penetrate the fibers to create a soft, wearable thermoelectric e-textile able to generate power from slight temperature differences.
