Tobii REX Brings Gaze Tracking Home

Jan-03-13 The Tobii REX peripheral brings gaze-tracking functionality to Windows 8 home computers.

A bit larger than a pen, the REX attaches to the base of the computer screen and connects through USB, where it is able to track the gaze of the users precisely enough to be used in the place of standard mouse pointer operations. The selection of capabilities include Gaze Scroll, Gaze Zoom and Gaze Navigate, as well as options for interacting with existing elements such as touch, mouse and keyboard.

Tobii will be offering 5000 of the units for sale to consumers by the end of 2013.
