Touchscreen Buttons Rise on Demand

Touchscreen Buttons Rise on Demand
Jun-08-12
Touchscreens have gotten more tactile with the microfluidic technology from Tactus Technology, which allows real buttons to rise from the surface the screen and recede when not needed.

Debuting as the world's first tactile system able to create dynamic, physical buttons, the Tactile Layer panel replaces the already existing display stack of standard touchscreen displays, adding no extra thickness. When the device is triggered, the layer deforms to create shapes or buttons of specific heights, size, or firmness depending upon the application being accessed.

I have been a BB person because of tactile keys, they are easier. I the adoption of this technology catches on with other touch screen brands.
