The Mori origami robots will snap together to form larger, more complex structures able to adjust shape automatically.
The small, triangular bots, developed by RRL, EPFL and NCCR Robotics, pack an onboard controller, sensors and actuators within their 0.9-ounce, 6 mm-thick bodies. The bots can propel themselves individually using their rotating edges, which function as hinges when the robots snap together to form a three-dimensional robot able to carry out more complex maneuvers.
These are somehow like self-organizing Legos. Minecraft is based on virtual blocks and its redstone components are like Scratch. Are there physical blocks that are coding elements just like Scratch? Posted by Uolevi Kattun on June 16, 2017
