TTP Ventus Disc Pump Improves Patient Comfort

TTP Ventus Disc Pump Improves Patient Comfort
Oct-02-19
The quiet and efficient Disc Pump from TTP Ventus could drastically improve the comfort of patients using 24-hour blood pressure monitors.

Typically, the 24-hour blood pressure monitors worn by patients are bulky and loud, and require the cuff to begin deflating before the pressure can be read. To help improve patient comfort, the Disc Pump from TTP Ventus replaces the typical motor-driven diaphragm pumps with a small, quiet pump that moves less than a microliter of air. This results in a very slight cuff pulsation that allows the blood pressure measurements to be taken during the process, and the tiny pump can also be integrated into the brachial cuff to eliminate the need for a pump housing and connecting hose.
