Unbreakable, Flexible OLED

Jul-26-18 Samsung’s new unbreakable, flexible OLED panel has been officially approved.

The robust panel is made up of the company’s specialized substrate and overlay, which allows the entire screen to be flexible. According to the team, the fortified plastic window is ideal for portable electronics because its transparency, lightweight and hardness are all similar to glass. In tests, the panel was able to withstand drops up to four feet and being struck by a hammer.

The unbreakable OLED has been given the seal of approval from Underwriters Laboratories.
