Urban Air Bamboo Billboards

Nov-08-12 If a recent Kickstarter campaign reaching its funding, the traditional advertising billboard may begin to be replaced with billboards of calming bamboo.

The project, called Urban Air, will replace billboards with living bamboo housed in the metal billboard scaffolding. The billboards will be Wi-Fi enabled, with misters for the bamboo and sensors to collect and transmit data about air quality and temperature.

Inventor and LA-based artist Stephen Glassman is raising funds on Kickstarter to create a bamboo kit that can be installed anywhere.
