UV Sense Tracks Sun Exposure from a Fingernail

Jun-26-18 The newly designed UV Sense patch attaches to a fingernail to track sun exposure.

Developed by L’Oréal’s Technology Incubator, the patch is an evolution of the company’s earlier skin-based UV sensor. To offer greater comfort, the battery-free UV Sense has been minimized to attach to a fingernail, where it will track UV exposure and transmit the data to a companion app with a simple swipe of a smartphone.
