VERT Wearable Tracks Athletes' Jumps

VERT Wearable Tracks Athletes' Jumps
Aug-17-16
Now at play in the Olympics, the VERT wearable is helping the U.S. women’s volleyball team keep track of their jumps.

The small VERT Jump Monitor is worn around the athlete’s waist or chest, where it will detect and measure jump heights and display the data in real time, as well as store it for access later on a smartphone. The device is equipped with a 3X gyroscope and a 3X accelerometer, which provide high precision jump counts and measurements, and will also monitor and track the wearer’s training routine.
