WaterBlock Protects Devices from the Inside Out

WaterBlock Protects Devices from the Inside Out
Jan-11-13
Take your mobile device to the sauna, bar or bath with no fear—after it’s been dunked in the new WaterBlock from HzO.

Based on a proprietary nanotechnology, the WaterBlock features a coating of bonded molecules that seals the device’s internal bits and protects the electronics from water intrusion. The process is thorough enough to protect the device from moisture even during a sustained submersion, while having no effect on the device’s aesthetics or operation.

According to the developers, WaterBlock is more effective than current hydrophobic coating techniques because the coating is more than simply a layer sprayed on the outside of the device. Such coatings can wear down over time, creating tiny gaps and pinholes.
