Odd.Bot was developed for organic farming where large farms currently do all the weeding by hand.
By removing weeds early and continuously Odd.Bot gives crops more room to grow without competition from weeds and results in a larger crop. Being a mechanical process, it eliminates the need for any chemicals at all, and makes it easier for farmers who often struggle to find manual labourers.
Working autonomously, Odd.Bot uses cameras and sensors to detect rows and identify weeds.
The company aims to keep more than 170,000 liters of chemical herbicides off crops over the next seven years.
