Workhorse SureFly Personal Quadcopter

The two-seater Workhorse SureFly quadcopter brings personal flight a step closer to reality.

The SureFly, developed by Workhorse Group Inc., is said to be both stable and safe, thanks to its four propeller arms each topped with a pair of contra-rotating propellers, backup battery for the electric motor and—if all else fails—a ballistic parachute. The SureFly’s gas combustion engine generates the electricity that powers the motor, allowing for quick refueling as well as a range of about 70 miles at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour.
