Xmera Bionic Bike Monitors Heart Rate for Better Exercise

Xmera Bionic Bike Monitors Heart Rate for Better Exercise
Jun-30-19
The Xmera Bionic Bike invention monitors the rider’s heartbeat to provide just the right amount of resistance.

As handy as e-bikes are, they do reduce the chances of exercise a bit. To offer a more balanced approach, the Xmera e-bike includes a bracelet worn by the rider that tracks their heart rate. The bracelet transmits that data via Bluetooth to the bike’s microcontroller, which will alter the pedal assist automatically to keep the heart rate in the target range. Users can program a workout type via the companion app, which will also alert contacts if the bike’s onboard sensors detect an impact that indicates a crash.
