Zona Rear View Camera Keeps Cyclists' Eyes Ahead

Zona Rear View Camera Keeps Cyclists' Eyes Ahead
Jun-01-17
The Zona rear view camera kit lets motorcycle riders keep an eye on the road behind them.

While many rear view camera feeds rely on a smartphone to display the data, the Zona display is meant to be placed inside the helmet, just below eye level. The rear-facing camera is installed on the license plate, sending live feed to a wireless receiver on the helmet, which then relays it to the display. The image is stabilized with the Zona's series of gyroscopes and accelerometers, and viewing the display is said to be similar to looking at a 30-inch display from about ten meters away.
