Sensor for Non-contact Electric and Magnetic Field Measurements

The present invention relates to a probe and a sensor for measuring electric fields, more specifically to a probe that in combination with an electrometer allows measurement of an electric field with high sensitivity, large bandwidth and low frequencies without making electrical contact. Thereto the probe for measuring electric fields, comprises: a means for concentrating the electric field to be measured; and a signal capacitor, wherein the means for concentrating the electric field to be measured comprises a structure of two tapered bodies. The invention in addition relates to a magnetic field sensor comprising a fully differential amplification stage.
