Method for Adjustment of Operation Condition of Fyn-type Vibration Propulsive Device

The present invention pertains to the field of water transport actuators, and it can be used for motion excitation of ships, underwater robotic fishes, motorboats, etc. The objective of the invention is to increase the efficiency of operation of fin-type vibration propulsive device. The proposed method lies in equipping of vibration propulsive device with two identical fins and making of each fin in the form of thin-walled semi-cylinder chute. Fins are jointed to propulsive device in such manner that convex part of the chute is directed outside from the fore-and-aft axis of floating vehicle. Then floating vehicle is immersed into a liquid and fins angular oscillations with operation frequency, corresponding to the bending of both fins during their motion from fore-and-aft axis of floating vehicle up to end positions, are adjusted. Bending places of fins are determined, and then motion drive is switched off. Stress concentrators in the form of semicircular lateral incisions are made in fins bending places on equal distances from their free ends. Besides, radius r of incision is taken in accordance with the condition , where S is fin's width measured on the arc of cylindrical surface. Motion drive is switched on, and fins' oscillations with earlier adjusted operation frequency are restored.
