Device for Control of Train's Braking Way

The invention applies to the rail transport sector. Trains braking way control device contains a train-mounted transmitting antenna 1, a data reception unit 2, a turning angle pickup meter 4, connected to a train wheel axle box 3, a rotation speed meter 5, a rotation acceleration meter 6, a brake efficiency detector 7, a data storage unit 8 provided with the additional input for data base programming, a train-mounted satellite communication receiver 9, a braking program unit 10. Besides it contains a train brake air main 11 connected to a brake main pressure meter 12 connected to a brake air main pressure changes detector 13, while the output is connected in parallel with the rotation speed meter 5. The rotational acceleration meter 6 ir connected to a mechanical time constant detector 14, which is connected to a braking process duration detector 15, which is connected to a braking distance detector 16, which is connected to the data storage unit 8 and the data reception unit 2. In addition the output of the data storage unit 8 and the output of the data reception unit 2 are connected to a detector of train location at braking process end 17 and to a detector of train location at braking process beginning 18 coupled with the braking distance detector 16. To the rotational speed meter 5 a detector of rotational speed at braking process beginning 19 is connected, to which the brake efficiency detector 7 is coupled with parallel inputs from the braking distance detector 16, data storage unit 8, to the detector of train location on the route at braking process beginning 18, to the detector of train location on the route at braking process end 17 and the rotation speed meter 5. In addition to the braking program unit 10 an electro-pneumatic valve 20 is connected, which is coupled to the train brake air main 11. Trains braking way control device records coordinates of the train's location at the beginning and end of braking process. The mechanical time constant detector 14 provides mechanical time constant of the train brake air main 11 pressure change. The braking process duration detector 15 calculates braking time, but the braking distance detector 16 calculates braking distance. The brake efficiency detector 7 examines a difference between the calculated train braking distance and the actual braking distance and transmits a control signal to the braking program unit 10, which by the electro-pneumatic valve 20 opens the train brake air main 11 in emergency braking mode. Trains braking way control device checks the efficiency of performance of a train brake system at any stage of the railway and timely automatically actuates emergency braking and stops the train before a dangerous failure.
