Submersible Device

A submersible device (100; 500) comprising a data recorder (106) configured to record data and an inflator (102). The inflator (102) is configured to raise the device (100; 500) towards the surface of liquid surrounding the device in use. The inflator (102) comprises a balloon (104; 504) that is inflatable by the gaseous product of a chemical reaction on experiencing a trigger. The device (100; 500) also comprises an antenna (112) configured to transmit the recorded data when the device (100; 500) is at the surface of the surrounding liquid.
