Method and System for Determining the Energy Flow of a Fuel Gas Made Up of More Than Two Components

The invention relates to a method and system for determining the energy flow of a fuel gas made up of more than two components. According to the invention, an electronic system is used to calculate the energy flow from: a) calorific power values obtained by using a using a processing system to perform a multi-variant analysis of output signals (S1) from a calorific power sensor (10) in contact with the fuel gas (12), resulting from detection by the sensor inside a pipe (13) through which the fuel gas (12) flows; and b) a measurement of the flow of the gas using a mass flow sensor (11). The system includes the aforementioned electronic system for calculating energy flow from the calorific power and mass flow values, using the above method.
