Method for the Entrapment and Immobilisation of Oxidoreductase Enzymes and Use Thereof

The invention relates to a method for the entrapment and immobilisation of oxidoreductase enzymes and to the use thereof. The novel method enables the entrapment and immobilisation of oxidoreductase enzymes on any surface made from metal or another solid material, such as graphite, and is based on the use of a mixture of glutaraldehyde as a cross-linking agent and Nafion as a protective additive. The resulting devices can be used as biosensors for measuring analytes (phenols, glucose, cholesterol, lactose, etc.) and for obtaining bioreactors which can be used in processes for the treatment of wastewater contaminated with phenols for example, without discarding the possible thereof use in clean synthesis.
