Biphasic calcium phosphate and method for obtaining same from fish bones

The present invention relates to a biphasic calcium phosphate comprising between 5 and 40% by weight of beta-tricalcium phosphate; between 0.1 and 0.6% by weight of Mg; between 0.2 and 0.8% by weight of Na; between 0.1 and 0.5% by weight of Sr; between 0.01 and 0.1% by weight of K; the remaining part being hydroxylapatite, to processes for obtaining same as well as to its use as a biocompatible material, particularly as a bone replacement material.
