Aav-mediated Delivery of Dna to Cells of Nervous System

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of delivering a DNA exogenous to both an adeno-associated virus (AAV) and a target cell of the mammalian nervous system. ; SOLUTION: The method includes the step of supplying AAV-derived vectors modified to comprise the DNA exogenous to both AAV and the target cell of the mammalian nervous system; and the step of transducing the vector into the cell. The exogenous DNA preferably contains a gene encoding a gene product useful for treatment of nervous system diseases.
