The invention relates to a prime mover comprising a machine frame and a load carrier damping means for damping the movements of load carriers relative to or with the machine frame. The damping means is adapted to damp movements that do not impair the machine frame tilt resistance, preferably machine frame steadiness, and movements that reduce and/or endanger the machine frame tilt resistance, preferably machine frame steadiness, especially reciprocating movements, in a different manner.
