Method and Device for Holding and Machining a Workpiece

The invention relates to a method and to a device for holding and machining workpieces (1). A first adapter piece (31) is exchanged with a second adapter piece (31') by means of a handling device (11). In a second step, the geometry of the second adapter piece (31') is adapted to the geometry of a workpiece which is to be machined by a shaping device (5,7). Then, a workpiece is placed in such a manner such that after placing, it is in surface contact with at least two adapter pieces (31'). Subsequently, the workpiece is machined by the shaping device (5, 7) and then the machined workpiece is exchanged with a non-machined workpiece.
